  • Tyler Hilton released a self-titled independent album in 2000. He also indulged his other passion, acting, by appearing in The CW’s One Tree Hill and the indie cult favorite Charlie Bartlett, and playing Elvis Presley in the 2005 Johnny Cash biopic Walk the Line.

  • Adam Ezra will joke with you that while the “nowhere” part might be accurate, nothing has ever just “popped” for this folk musician, activist.  Without resources, connections, or any kind of clue how the music world works, Ezra began playing shows over 20 years ago.  When music venues wouldn’t hire him, he played bars, bookstores, fields, and parking lots, often raising money for causes he cared about; a practice that grew into his nonprofit organization RallySound.

  • Bending bluegrass with elements of rock, alternative and improvisational music, Yonder Mountain brought their high-energy, sound and psychedelic light show into rock n’ roll settings with tremendous success, proving it possible for a bluegrass band to not only exist but excel in a rock world without drums. The inroads they made created opportunities for like-minded acoustic bands to perform at festivals, rock clubs, theaters and stadiums previously considered off-limits for string bands.

BNH Discovery Stage

  • For Billy Wylder, music has been the source of strength. The band features an inspired cast of singular artists who have performed across six continents including concerts at Coachella, Newport Folk Festival, New Orleans Jazz Fest, Montreal Jazz Fest, Carnegie Hall, and Lincoln Center.

  • GoldenOak has harmonies derived only from the genetic intricacies of a brother-sister duo, Zak and Lena Kendall. They have evolved from homespun, family-oriented folk music to deliver roots-revival styled sophistication for a hyper-conscious generation. The Kendalls, beloved within their quickly expanding fandom as GoldenOak, were raised in part by the western Maine landscape.

  • Oliver Hazard is an indie folk band from Waterville, Ohio. Their story is the digital age’s version of classic band myth-making. One member of the band returned to Ohio and decided to make an album with two of his childhood friends, a door-to-door salesman and a construction worker.

Feathered Friend

  • Named a top 10 emerging artist and songwriter by Tractor Supply and Grammy-winning and multi-ACM winning country artist, Lainey Wilson, New Hampshire native April is a vocal force in the Northeast.  April was recently named for two years running, the 2022 & 2023 Country Act of the Year by the New England Music Awards and continues to be sought-after artist who pulls in hearts and ears with every performance.  Commonly referred to as a "blend of Ashley McBryde with the story telling of Lori McKenna", April finds inspiration in the every day to use as subjects for her music.

  • Air Traffic Controller have created a place all their own in the indie pop world.

ATC built a legacy for crafting heartfelt, luscious and genuine indie-folk-pop songs that are timeless and classic. Since emerging from the Boston scene in 2009, the group, which also includes drummer Adam Salameh, bassist Joe Campbell, guitarist Bobby Borenstein, vocalist/keytarist Emi McSwain, and multi-instrumentalist Steve Scott, has released 5 critically applauded albums and toured the U.S. + U.K.

  • The music of Colony House—an indie rock band made up of brothers Will and Caleb Chapman, as well as Scott Mills and Parke Cottrell—is playfully self-described as “landlocked surf rock.” Their personal genre designation is as much inspired by their hometownof Franklin, Tenn. as their new album The Cannonballersis.

BNH Discovery Stage

  • Boston-based band Couch injects each project with their signature flavor: expressive horns, warm vocals, and bubbling synths—crafting an oasis of joy for musicians and non-musicians alike.

  • Rubblebucket’s seeds were sown when Kalmia Traver and Alex Toth, the group’s front persons, co-writers and co-producers, first began a friendship as jazz students at the University of Vermont. Soon after, they formed Rubblebucket, using the project to delve into pop, funk, dance and psychedelia; performances have spanned Bonnaroo to Glastonbury to their self-curated Dream Picnic Festival, and they’ve collaborated with kindred genre-blenders including Arcade Fire and Scissor Sisters’ Jake Shears. Their latest full-length LP ‘Earth Worship’ showcases intricately sparkling beats, hooky vocals, and irresistible melodic complexity—a celebration of togetherness, environmental curiosity, and the pleasure of doing what you love.

Feathered Friend

He continues to be guided by the belief that “music is our common language, a metaphor for all that is noble in the human race.” After five decades before the public, he remains (as his mentor Andres Segovia once wrote) “at the top line of our artistic world.”
